Cityee (“Cityee,” “we,” “us”) is a city-specific events and entertainment directory available at cityee.city. Cityee is operated by Exclusive Business Marketing LLC, 16371 Gothard St, Ste C, Huntington Beach, CA 92647. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
- Mobile phone number and messaging data. When you text a city keyword (for example, HB) to 844-524-8933 or otherwise opt in to Cityee text messages, we collect your mobile number, the keyword and city you selected, the date and time of your opt-in, your YES confirmation, and records of messages sent to and received from you (including STOP and HELP requests).
- Information you give us. If you contact us, submit a listing, or fill out a form, we collect what you provide, such as your name, email address, business name, and message.
- Automatic information. Like most websites, we collect basic technical data when you visit cityee.city, such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and referring URL, using cookies and similar technologies.
2. How we use information
- To send the text messages you requested: local event picks, nightlife, dining, things to do, and occasional promotions from venues listed on Cityee, for the city you selected.
- To confirm your opt-in, honor opt-out (STOP) and help (HELP) requests, and keep records of consent.
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve cityee.city and respond to your requests.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. SMS / text messaging privacy
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in data and consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except with service providers (such as our SMS delivery and CRM providers) that process it solely on our behalf to deliver Cityee messages, and where required by law.
Promotions from venues are sent by Cityee. Venues and advertisers do not receive your phone number.
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any Cityee message. Reply HELP for help, or email support@cityee.io. Message frequency: up to 3 messages per week. Message and data rates may apply. See our Terms for full SMS program terms.
4. How we share information
We share information only with service providers who help us run Cityee (for example, website hosting, SMS delivery, email, and CRM providers) under obligations to protect it; when required by law or to protect rights and safety; or in connection with a merger, sale, or transfer of the business. We do not sell personal information.
5. Cookies
We use cookies to keep the site working and to understand how it is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
6. Data retention and security
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including keeping consent and opt-out records as required by law. We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
7. Your choices and California privacy rights
You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP. California residents may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal information, and we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To make a request, email support@cityee.io. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
8. Children
Cityee is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
9. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows when it was last changed.
